Gastrointestinal endoscopy training

S Attasaranya

Abstract

Gastrointestinal endoscopy, one of the most common procedures in medical practice, has provided more innovative therapeutic options and also raised an increasing concern about quality and evaluation issues. A well-organized and highquality training in endoscopy is clearly required to assure our society of standard endoscopy practice. The apprehension of essential training structure with effective quality assessment, together with ethical consideration is crucial to create such a training program.
