Neonatal Melioidosis: A Case Report and Literature Review

Abstract

A 21-day-old term male baby had a fever, seizure, hematemesis and hypotension. Burkholderia pseudomallei was isolated from aseptically collected blood culture of the neonate. The neonate died within 24 hours after blood cultures were taken.
